Why choose modular construction

Why you should consider using modular factory-built construction for your new home

Compared to traditional site-built homes, our homes are built with up to 1/3 more structural material for better strength and structural integrity. (That’s one reason why the homes can be transported from the factory to the job site without being damaged)
Building homes in a factory production environment requires discipline and consistency. And because the building site itself is climate controlled, the materials aren’t exposed to rain, snow, wind, extreme heat or extreme cold. And neither are the construction workers. All this results in superior quality.
From the time a building permit is issued for the project, modular homes can typically be built in about 1/2 the time needed to construct a site-built home. Site work and factory production can progress on the project simultaneously – the foundation and utility work can proceed as modules are being built in the factory.
Because modular homes are constructed faster and built in a controlled environment, you benefit from cost savings not available to the typical local builder. Cost savings accrue through production efficiency, bulk purchasing of construction materials, and less interest paid on the average construction loan.
Whether you start with a plan featured by CitiHomes or our manufacturer or you select one from another plan catalog, the chances are excellent that any plan can be built with modular construction and customized to fit your lifestyle.
We specify the same building materials you would specify: top brand materials, fixtures, trim and surfaces, along with skilled craftsman, to ensure that every detail of your project meets your expectations.
Internal quality control procedures, in conjunction with third-party agency inspections, are performed at every stage of the construction process to ensure that each home is in compliance with state and local building codes. A third-party seal of approval is stamped on each structure before leaving the manufacturing facility.
You’ll have 2 reliable sources for help with any service issues. Knowledgeable service technicians from the factory and local service representatives are available to troubleshoot and take necessary action.
Because they are constructed under such tightly controlled conditions, our homes are already more energy efficient than the model energy codes. And building your home to achieve ENERGY STAR certification is always an option.
If you’re concerned about the environment, you’ll be happy to know that the modular factory-building process itself is much more environmentally-friendly than site-building. The use of Green Certified building materials helps; generating less waste helps even more; and recycling much of the waste that is generated – all contribute to creating less impact on the environment we all share.
Our homes come with a written 10- year structural warranty.
