Built better by design

It’s a discipline that begins long before the foundation goes into the ground. Please take a few minutes to explore what we do and why it might work for you.

What we do

We design and build new homes (and smaller “carriage homes”) and we focus on infill lots in existing neighborhoods. We are based in Roanoke, VA and work on projects in the immediate area.
When we started Towne & Country Custom Homebuilders, LLC (TCCHB) in 2015, the idea was to use our knowledge of the factory-built housing industry to help homeowners and investors design and build new homes that performed well and met their owners’ needs for many years to come. Along the way, we decided to simplify our goals by focusing more on infill opportunities and at the same time strive to incorporate more new technologies into our homes in hopes of making them more user-friendly, sustainable and efficient.

We didn’t build all of these homes shown here, but they were all built with modular construction and we wanted to show you there are not many design limits on what can be built using modular factory-building technology.

Why you should consider using modular factory-built construction for your new home

Compared to traditional site-built homes, our homes are built with up to 1/3 more structural material for better strength and structural integrity. (That’s one reason why the homes can be transported from the factory to the job site without being damaged)
Building homes in a factory production environment requires discipline and consistency. And because the building site itself is climate controlled, the materials aren’t exposed to rain, snow, wind, extreme heat or extreme cold. And neither are the construction workers. All this results in superior quality.
From the time a building permit is issued for the project, modular homes can typically be built in about 1/2 the time needed to construct a site-built home. Site work and factory production can progress on the project simultaneously – the foundation and utility work can proceed as modules are being built in the factory.
