Jeff has been involved in the construction industry since 1992 as a heavy equipment operator and a residential contractor with a Class A license. In addition to project management, he has extensive site development experience, from building roads and commercial sites to finishing individual homesites. As a homebuilder, he constructed site-built homes as well as modular and panelized homes. He also constructed metal buildings for commercial applications.
His talents extend to furniture-making, as well. In 2015 he was lured out of semi-retirement to manage the custom furniture shop at Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke, VA, where he worked with clients to design and build custom dining tables, conference tables, custom bars for both restaurants and private residences, and many other unique projects fashioned from reclaimed building materials. In 2021, Jeff started doing some home remodeling projects.
Andy has been active in the factory-built housing industry since 1982. While serving as vice president of a national trade association for the factory-built housing industry, he designed and administered a national training program designed to teach residential developers and homebuilders how to incorporate factory-built housing into their residential development projects. He helped the nation’s largest factory-built housing manufacturer create the nationwide marketing plan to support their 12 manufacturing plants. He has also represented several modular home manufacturers by working with large and small local developers and homebuilders to design and build custom modular homes for their new home projects. He started Towne & Country Custom Homebuilders, LLC in 2015 and holds a Virginia Class A Building license with classifications for both residential and commercial construction.
met in 2022 when Jeff was hired to complete a remodeling project for Andy and his wife Claire. The two found they had similar ideas about homebuilding and wanted to concentrate on building smaller, unique projects that were closer to home, even if they were a bit more challenging. Thus, CitiHomes was born and the name was added under the TCCHB umbrella.
